Patoirlove decided to take Nirvana's song "Something In The Way" .. & REMAKE it.. to make it her own.. (with uplifting poetic words & a twist of interpretation). She changed most of the lyrics by Kurt but wrote in a way that relates to his story. She actually recorded some of the vocals on top of a bridge outside in the sun while cars passed.. looking down at the water & birds around.
She turned it into a big production... doing everything you hear and see here.. & she hopes it can help people through hard times just like it has for her. She feels she can relate to Kurt a lot in a lot of ways.. as he apparently wrote this song during a depressing time referring to a bridge he stayed under. She likes to think he is here with us in spirit.. & this is what he suggested she do... ;)

Resorting to meditation
I focus on my breathing
While taxi rides keep passing
Over this bridge with the tarp leaking
& the animals beside me
glance in silence; understanding
that I've got all these feelings
as I sit with these puddles splashing
Something was in the way
Ahh Ahh Ow>> Just hop in... Just hop in
We're washing away the pain
Now, yeah we're coasting, yeah we're coasting
They no longer say...
"At what point do you make the change?"
Letting go of the weight (/wait), Yeah
Making moves, faster than they could blink
Something was in the way ah ooooo oooooo
Something was in the way ah ooooo oooooo
They told me I don't want to end up
like this guy in the street garden
so I cleared things up, reflecting
the love missing from the start
well, perhaps no one quite got it
the concrete needed cracking
shaking them fast enough to see that
we're all just light rays... traveling
Something was in the way
Ahh Ahh Ow>> Just hop in... just hop in
We're washing away the pain
Now, we're coasting, yeah we're coasting
They no longer say...
"At what point do you make the change?"
Letting go of the weight, Yeah
Making moves, faster than they could blink
Something was in the way ah ooooo ooo
Something was in the way ah ooooo ooo
Something was in the way
Yeah, I let 'em have it; I worked my magic
Something was in the way
Now the way is lit 'cos I've matched it
